Hi, I'm Adriano Schneider, a Brazilian researcher based in Charlotte, NC, USA, who has been involved on the research of the evolution and spread of mosquito transmitted viruses such as Dengue, Yellow Fever, Chikungunya and Zika.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences by the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul. Master of Science in Crop Science through the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, both from Brazil. Currently I am a PhD student at the University of North Carolina - Charlotte, in USA, studying the PhD course of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology with focus on Arbovirus epidemiology and evolution. I am also a member of the Editorial Board of the magazine Contagion - Infectious Diseases Today. On my free time I love to sail, travel and explore new horizons.
